Dr. Christopher Scott Abel, MD

Dr. Abel is kind, caring, and truly cares about his patients. He makes sure that the parents are comfortable and makes sure to explain everything to them in the best manner possible. Couldn't recommend a better doctor in the DFW metroplex! We love him His nominations and mentions in the Best of Dallas since 2011 till now are very reliable.

In and out of office very quickly. Love his nurses and how he interacts with the kids.

Horrible office staff. Rude, liars, unsympathetic, cold hearted. Should not work in healthcare or pediatrics.

Dr. Abel is a wonderful pediatrician on many levels. He has a wonderful, bedside manner for both children and parents. He handles children's fear respectfully and compassionately. He informs parents in a way we can understand, and we always felt he respected our opinions. Our son had a very serious/life threatening illness and Dr. Abel was compassionate, knowledgeable, accessible (yes!) determined and caring. We have never had to wait in the waiting area more than 5 minutes. Our main nurse (Lynette) is just as compassionate and loving as Dr. Abel. And the staff is unbelievably courteous, kind and cheerful (unbelievable in this day and age where we are generally shuttled in and out without much communication). I honestly have nothing but great things to say. I highly recommend this pediatric office. You will be blown away.

We have never had to wait in the waiting area (though my children would like to have a little fun in there). The staff is MORE than friendly- they are like our friends. And Dr. Abel is always energetic, on children's levels, polite, clear in his assessments and super sweet. Our son had some very serious medical needs and Dr. Abel has always been available and knowledgeable in any situation. Any parent can rest assured of having a great office visit (aside from the normal angst children feel).

We highly recommend Dr. Abel! He's patient, understanding and actually spends time with my kids in the office. My kids love him, most importantly, and amazingly... aren't afraid to go to the doctor! I recommend him to all my friends!

Small office means you always see your pediatrician, rather than rotating from doctor to doctor. Wait time is usually very quick. Doctor is very laid back and calm-mannered.

After a bad experience with a local pediatrician, we found Dr. Abel. He is a breath of fresh air. We have been going to Dr. Able for 5 years now and the kids love him. He is the perfect combination of laid back and level headed. He is careful to diagnose without resorting to scare tactics or harping on worst case scenarios. It's a good balance and my family loves him and his office staff. Lynette is a wonderful nurse. Over the years she has given plenty of shots to my girls but they always leave smiling and aren't ever afraid to go to the doctor's office. What more could I ask for? I highly recommend Doctor Abel.
