dr. adams was rapid firing questions in a very brief intake at the lourdes hospital. he called multiple patients out for a quick "how are you?" he had not read my chart in advance, and had no idea of my rx history---nor multiple medical and psychiatric diagnoses. very poor approach, he must have been having a bad day, and lacked consideration. drs are humans too. i regret that my experience with adams at lourdes delayed my healing. i am fortunate and blessed to now have a team of qualified professionals. mental illness is complicated, and sometimes the rxs make it worse. for those in the world feeling defeated, "DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE!" Reach out to mental health and suicide prevention hot lines. CALL 911. the paducah police and mccracken sheriff departments are specially trained and prepared to respond. i promise they will be kind---tell 911 up front that you need a NAMI trained team to respond to your mental thoughts. do not let this review hold you back from immediate access to care.… there are other drs. help at lourdes paducah is available immediately through the emergency room. DO NOT hesitate to CALL. Let a family member or friend know of your situation. ps: adams, md has a pa named nikki---very kind and nice. she should go on to medical school!!!
