Dr. Christopher Messina Alinea, MD

I was served by this MD in urgent care. Attentive, thorough, professional. SDMG is fortunate to have him on staff.

We took my mother to Slocum-Dickson convenient care after she collapsed. She quickly recovered, and adamantly refused an ambulance or to go to the ER or Urgent Care. Subsequently she slept all day and developed a low grade fever that night, though it was gone by morning. The next morning she agreed to go to Urgent Care, and we were blessed to see Dr. Alinea. His exam was thorough. He asked questions, listened, did some preliminary neurological tests (balance, hand/eye, reflexes), explained why he was ordering the tests that he did, as well thoroughly explaining the test results and possible causes of the abnormal levels. He told us what specialist my mom should follow up with, and at our request suggested a dr. at Slocum Dickson. We received an appointment with that specialist before we left. I also liked that Dr. Alinea spoke with, and listened to, both the patient and her family. By the way, my brother is a physician, and was present at this appointment. He thinks Dr. Alinea is an… excellent doctor.

Most down to earth physician I've ever encountered. Treats you like a worthwhile human being, super nice. Wish he could be my primary care Dr.
