Dr. Christopher Robert Apuy

Christopher R. Apuy, D.D.S.
Dr. Chris attended Pacific Union College, a small private school nestled in the hills near Napa Valley. After getting his Bachelor of Science degree in natural science, he traveled to southern California for dental school. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2007. Following graduation, he moved home to Fresno and began practicing with his father, Dr. Robert Apuy.
After moving home, Dr. Chris enrolled in over 300 hours of continuing education. He took I.V. Sedation course work from the University of Southern California and also trained in implants in San Francisco. Further training took him to Scottsdale, Arizona for a five week course with the Mercer group, and to Salt Lake City to study full mouth reconstruction with the Dick Barnes Group. He continues to actively learn the latest in the dental field.
Dr. Chris is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Fresno-Madera Dental Society. …He is a board certified Doctor of Dental Surgery and has his permit for Intravenous Sedation.
When not working in the office, Dr. Chris pursues his passion for the outdoors. He caught the “fishing bug” when he was about two and a half years old. His parents took him ocean fishing off the California coast. Ever since, he has always looked for bigger fish to catch. He also loves camping, hiking, mountain biking, and more recently bow hunting. He travels to Oregon and hunts with a group called Born and Raised Outdoors who makes and distribute hunting videos.
Dr. Chris grew up in dentistry. He frequently visited his father’s office as a young child and then began working there during school holidays and vacations when he was older. He learned all aspects of dentistry including assisting, front office, lab work, landscaping, and even remodeling. His dental family has grown to include his sister, Heidi, who is a pediatric dentist in Oregon. She practices with her husband and father-in-law who are also dentists. There are also other dentists in his extended family. However, the most important person in his dental family is his wife, Crystal, who is the office hygienist.
