Christopher Ravi Bailey, MD

Christopher R. Bailey, MD, is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist at Geisinger Medical Center. His clinical and research focus centers on interventional oncology, vascular anomalies and translational device innovation. He is internationally recognized for advancing minimally invasive therapies and developing novel interventional tools that expand the precision and safety of image-guided procedures.Dr. Bailey earned his Doctor of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University, then completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital.Before joining Geisinger, Dr. Bailey's leadership in previous organizations helped establish nationally recognized programs in oncologic and vascular malformation care and simulation-based IR training.Dr. Bailey’s translational research portfolio bridges engineering and medicine, with past collaborations supported by the National Institutes of Heath, the Maryland Innovation Initiative and the Biscotti Foundation Translation Fund. Dr. Bailey’s …scholarship includes more than 80 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, and his research contributions span soft-robotic microcatheters, MR-guided sclerotherapy and the application of robotic imaging systems. He has been an invited speaker at major national and international meetings, including the Society of Interventional Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, ARPA-H Precision Surgical Interventions Day, and IEEE RoboSoft.As an award-winning educator, Dr. Bailey is recognized for excellence in clinical training, mentorship and educational innovation.
