Dr. Christopher Michael Bono, MD

Dr. Bono did cervical surgery on myself and lumbar on my husband. Since our surgery we have had no pain and a complete recovery from years of discomfort. Highly recommend Dr. Bono.

I have spinal stenosis and could not stand up straight and hardly walk. The surgery was a success and recovery exactly what he explained to me. I would highly recommend Dr Bono. His staff and PA was just as accommodating as he was.

I had osteomyelitis of L4 & L5. Dr. Bono replaced the vertabrae and I am able to lead a productive life.

I saw Dr. Bono to discuss a back injury. It was quick and easy to get in for my initial appointment. His PA did my initial assessment (the norm for a teaching hospital like Brigham and Women's), then Dr. Bono came in. He discussed the findings and my testing results, and came up with a clear plan for follow-up. When I needed to get in again on a more urgent basis a few weeks later, I was scheduled for the next day. His explanation of the surgery he proposed was clear and concise. He took time to answer my questions, and I never felt rushed or like he needed to be elsewhere. My surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks later (it would have probably been sooner, but he was gone for several days at a conference), and was a complete success. My pain is gone! I have nothing but respect for Dr. Bono, his staff, and BWH.

Dr Bono is thorough professional. I was able to get an appointment within a week of the time I called . He is no nonsense ,but still concerned and a very good listener .

Met with Dr. Bono and it was clear that he was afraid to operate on me. I am "surgeon shopping" and he is the first one to indicate that he may not be able to help. He is young and, I fear, too inexperienced. I will go back to the Baptist where I felt like I was in competent hands. He may be great with more experience but I don't feel like being his guinea pig. He is a "pass" for me.

Dr Bono did not lay a finger on me to examine me. He had a resident assess me, who forgot to test a couple things and had to come in the room two times to reassess me. I waited just under an hour to see the MD I actually booked the appointment with and he literally did nothing. I will never go back to him and would never recommend him. In the 2 minutes he was in the room with me I felt unheard and like I was putting him out. A complete disappointment and waste of my time and money.

Dr. Bono operated on me 4.5 years ago. I had a lower spine fusion of L4, L5 and S1. I had and still do a lot of stenois..lots of deteriation of my spine..I couldn't stand straight. He had total confidence that he would make me 75% better than I was.Another doctor said I was too bad to operate and didn't recommend it..I am so glad I my surgery with Dr. Bono. I highly recommend him.
