Dr. Christopher Ryan Boone, MD

Doctor Boone was inquisitive and friendly (more than any other doctor I've ever visited), was not expecting that from an urgent care clinic.

I've been helping my dad with his medical issues. After working with Dr. Boone for 6 months, I brought over my mom my son my husband and myself. My son has autism and he is wonderful with him. He really takes his time and seems to care. Definitely five stars.

He's a good primary doctor, probably my favorite one I've had as an adult. It's nice to know that he has gone through the stuff that I have gone through and it helps that he shares his stories with me. He's great with referring me to the specialists that I need, plus my whole family likes him. He takes care of me, my husband, my parents and my youngest little brothers. I recommend him to my friends whenever he's open for new patients.

Regarding the Dr. Christopher Boone whose practice is located on Crescent Dr. in Pueblo West, CO: This doctor has little empathy for patients or the manner in which their lifes have been impacted by serious illness. He suddenly decided to discontinue a proven pharmaceutical treatment that I have been successfully utilizing for 25 years since surviving cancer. In the past, my primary care physician has NEVER had any problem prescribing this treatment... including this office which had recently renewed a 90 day prescription. His office apparently made the decision to discontinue the use of this drug without notifying the effected patients, and I wasn't informed of this decision until I came in for a physical. At that time, he informed me that I would have to see yet another doctor (at additional expense and delay!) if I wanted to continue this treatment. After 25 years of successful use of this treatment, I could not grasp the reason behind this sudden decision and he suggested that I… find another doctor. He then refused to complete my scheduled physical and abruptly left the room. His entry in the medical portal then indicated that the reason for my visit was to "establish new patient", but I had already been coming to this office for the past two years. The only reason I saw him for my physical is because the PA I usually visited was out on leave and they rescheduled my yearly physical with him. He then had his office contact my pharmacy and CANCEL ALL OF MY CURRENT PRESCRIPTIONS, including my primary preventative medication for treating my asthma. Since this action constitutes MALPRACTICE (patient abandonment), I had to contact his office the next day and threaten to sue him if my prescriptions were not immediately reinstated (which they were!). It is a very sad commentary on a doctor when they demonstrate such little empathy for patients (and their families) who have had very traumatic health histories and are only attempting to maintain some semblance of a normal life.
