Christopher Bowman, APRN, CNP

Christopher Bowman, DNP, is an experienced nurse practioner specializing in cardiac surgery. Chris began his career as a bedside nurse, later transitioning into the cardiac intensive care unit where he discovered his passion for cardiology.
Chris's philopsophy is to place both the patient and their family in the center of their care plan, offering care that is tailored to meet the needs of the indiviual and family. He believes that empowering patient's to be active participants in their care is extremely important to their recovery.
Chris's experience includes both intraoperative and post-operative management of patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, vascular and mechanical circulatory support surgeries including LVADs.
Chris completed his Bachelors of Nursing Science at Ferris State University, and his Doctor or Nursing Practice at the Unversity of Michigan Flint.

Chris enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and their three children, especially when they can escape to …the lake in the summer months.
