This doctor does not do well with female patients. I saw him after several syncopal episodes before age 40. I was fainting because I had sick sinus syndrome and severe bouts of bradycardia. He put me on a Holter monitor said my heart rate was low and then put me on Zoloft. When My heart continued to cause me syncopal episodes she put me on Dilantin and referred me to a neurologist. When I went to see the neurologist he said I am not having seizures but in fact seizure activity as a result of my low heart rate and blood pressure. I was referred to another cardiologist and a pacemaker was placed. This was 8 years ago. I have had no problems since. Do not see Dr. Byard if you are a female.
