Dr. Christopher Crane, MD

I am really impressed by Dr Crane. He really engages in my case, and gives me a weekly appointment to follow up on my treatment. This combined with his knowledge and willingness to try out a good treatment together with his college Dr Kelsen, makes me a big fan. Everyone I have dealt with at MD Anderson has been professional and impressive, but Dr. Crane stands out as a unique innovator. I was given 3-6 months to live by my local oncologist due to the advanced stage of my inoperable Pancreatic Cancer. The doctors at MD Anderson concurred that the odds were not good. But they responded by proposing a highly aggressive regimen of chemo and radiation. Crane proposed a very aggressive radiation plan which I had checked by radiation oncologists I knew in Chicago. They said that MD Anderson is probably the only place in the world that could execute that planned dosage properly. I called Crane a "Rock Star" because he has immense confidence in himself and his team ability to deliver success. In the pancreatic cancer business, success is difficult to come by. 24 months later, I am still here, with no symptoms.
