I had watched C. Bateman’s video on the Ward and felt quite comfortable; until I dealt with the actual Ward. It was dirty; unorganized and I learned my loved one was not receiving proper medications even for Parkinson’s. I had to seek out the Social Worker myself. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The 4th floor staff were polite and that’s the only good thing I can say SALAMATPO

Sadly the politeness of the staff on the floor, does not make up for the dirtiness of the physical floor when I visited there. Nor does it help that my family experienced medical staff who did not give proper medications upon transfer from a hospital in another state. I had to seek out the Social Worker, who should have contacted me. The Physician in charge of my family member was unconcerned with giving regular Parkinson’s medication dosages and was only concerned with my family member taking laxatives to lower ammonia levels. Nothing else was addressed properly, except for a “sliding out of bed” which they ran costly scans. Considering I had watched C.Bateman’s video on the merits of the GS Ward, I was highly disappointed. I feel very badly for the other patients who have to be there and their families may not be able to keep up on their loved ones medications and treatment plans. In fact, I was not ever given a treatment plan and my family member was released with prescriptions and… not actually 30 days of medications. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, ever!

Desert Springs is a nightmare. After being rushed to the ER with cardiac arrest, I never spoke with a doctor regarding treatment or diet. Not one doctor.
