Doctor failed to look at previous medical records of injury/illness, treated like a criminal for being on a low level narcotic prescribed by previous VA doctor, spent excessive time stressing how he would never, ever prescribe any narcotic to any veteran even though patient did not ask for any prescription from him, and urinalysis and all previous years of urinalysis showed only prescribed meds, prescribed a treatment that 40% of patients get avascular necrosis without notifying of permanent side effects, stated "that's the way it is" when notified that injury/illness would create excessive pain to travel very long distance, failed to prescribe anything other than ineffective and potentially harmful treatment especially to veteran with very low immune system in part due to excessive toxic exposure, did not follow up on notification that veteran was subjected to extreme toxic exposure while on duty verified by EPA reports, did not ask how I felt physically or inquire on any other… symptoms or concerns. He did check cholesterol level, and order an EKG for heart pain, but scorned for not following up on a treatment that research shown to be potentially harmful and was told if heart felt that bad I should have just went to the ER, did not offer any alternative pain relief, such as Aqua Therapy, other than potentially harmful injections for chronic pain. Failed to read medical records brought in that also shown previous upper back and shoulder injury as well. Disgraceful lack of display of concern and/or compassion for pain sufferer. If you have cancer or back injuries, I HIGHLY advise you to find somebody else who will actually care about your pain level and find one who is thorough and will bother to read your charts. The inadequate and pompous "care" provided was disgraceful, rude, and obnoxious. Also, inability to actually get through to a person for scheduling and constantly connected to a recording. This visit was the very epitome of why the VA has such a poor rating on veterans substandard care.
