Dr. Evanson is one of the most professional Bariatric Surgeon’s I have met. I had RNY Surgery 22 years ago in Nashville, TN. I started having issues with my stomach due to a hiatal hernia and was in severe pain for a very long time until I got established with Dr. Evanson and he figured out what was wrong. He saw me at the start of the Pandemic and did not make me wait until this ended. He knew I was in extreme pain and he listened to me while helping me understand what was going on. He did emergency surgery to relieve my pain. After multiple EGD’s, multiple test and visits I was recently cleared with a clean bill of health. It took me awhile to find him since I was fairly new to the area, but once I was referred to Meridian Surgical Group I was treated professionally by his entire staff, no matter how many times I reached out to them. They were there to help. Thank you Dr. Christopher Evanson and the entire Meridian Surgical Team. I would recommend this team to anyone.

I originally had a other doctor that did a specialty and especially did not work out in a created a lot of medical problems but doctor Evanson very good care of me I would 150% recommend him

Dr Evanson is great, but the office is horrible. They always keep you waiting for a minimum of 1 hour from your appointment time. I was not even scheduled to meet the surgeon, but his assistant!

I was the victim of a surgical misadventure. Last November, I underwent a take down of my Nissen Fundoplication immediately followed by a vertical gastric sleve.With in a week, I became very septic. My family doctor arranged for emergent helicopter transfer from the original hospital in South Bend, IN to ST Vincent's hospital in Carmel.When stabilized the best I could, Dr. Evanson opened my abdomen which was a complete disaster!During this initial surgery, I lost my Gall bladder, my complete stomach; part of my small bowel and my large colon.I was hospitalize in intensive care for over 2 months and a step down critical care unit for another two months.Three surgeries later, I am in the process of taking in clear liquids.Dr. Evans has an exception bedside manner and he spent a significant amount of time with my family when I was unconscious or on the ventilator.I give Dr. Evanson my highest recommendation for those seeking bariatric care

I cannot say enough about this gentleman. He and the St. Vincent bariatric program saved my life. I enjoy his sense of humor and easy-going attitude, yet he still exhibits all of the professionalism and confidence you would want a surgeon to have. I highly recommend!

Dr.Evanson is a fairly good doctor, but he often seems rushed (This was the same before my surgery and after) and doesn't seem to listen very well. When I've had a problem or question it's often brushed to the side and even though I am allergic to many medications, he gave one medication that I'm allergic to during and after my surgery. More recently he wanted to do a procedure and use another medication that I'm allergic to. His office staff is another problem. Most of them don't seem to care, and even though they are seeing patient's all the time and none of the procedures you need to do before and after are new to them; but they are new to the patient, and like I said they seem to forget that. When the staff was unhelpful before my surgery I asked to speak to the office manager, whom never returned my calls and had cancelled my surgery. If I hadn't called to ask a question (and got the one person in the office that would spend more than a minute on a problem) then I would have had… my surgery cancelled because the paper work would have been processed.From what I understand it is hard to switch bariatric doctors unless you are moving a long distance.The best suggestion I can give is for anyone to check out the office staff just like you would check out a doctor before going to one. If they're rude and don't seem to care Move On, because it's not going to get any better.

It has been 2 1/2yrs since my surgery. I have had no issue to date. I'm very pleased with the surgery. I have kept off the weight and continue to work hard at it daily. Thank you Dr. Evanson

DR. Evanson did me and my moms surgery about 6 years ago. She lost over 200 pounds and I lost 130. He was wonderful, kind, and a great surgeon.
