Dr. Christopher Myles Foley, MD

Dr Foley was my Dad’s doctor and he kept him alive until age 84 despite a quadruple bypass at age 63 and kidney failure at age 73. My dad started seeing him at age 74 and adored Dr Foley. My husband and I both see him as our primary doctor and he is highly knowledgeable and willing to order the necessary tests for the right diagnosis. He’s a great advocate for patients.

Dr F has been looking after my general health, and my autoimmune disease, and Lymes Disease, for over a decade now. I appreciate his brilliant mind and the research it does for me before recommending a new treatment. The patient portal is not ideal but usually I get answers and help in between appointments, especially as a follow up after a visit, or in an emergency. I'm kind of a skeptic, so I don't always try everything he suggests. I do my own reading and appreciate the reports he sends me, which are understandable with a little effort. I have extreme confidence in his understanding of hormone creams, Lyme's and other tick-borne diseases, autoimmune diseases and his Internal Medicine background. Even if I choose not to try something he suggests, I know he has researched it thoroughly and believes in it. I do have a "regular" doctor, another Internist, that I see for "regular" care. His not taking insurance makes it expensive, especially if you are on Medicare, where there is… no reimbursement, but the quality of my life has remained stable all these years, much due to his recommendations. Ask how much a lab test will be before agreeing to it. Go in with a list of questions/topics and hand him a copy. Take notes or bring a note-taker because a lot of new ideas come up every time. He will always be fighting for your best health.

Dr. Foley focused on my many symptoms not underlying cause and prescribed inappropriate pharmaceuticals which cause extreme side effects and consequences. I believed him that he was an integrative doctor but learned the hard way that when in doubt, he prescribes meds rather than analyzing test results. Very disappointed in al the $ I paid him.

Dr Foley charges an insane amount of $ for the level of care. I went to him far too long and he was reckless with the pharmaceuticals until he finally got the diagnosis correct. I agree with the previous review. he was far too interested in personal information rather than medical.

Dr. Foley is clearly in the business of making money vs actually caring for his patients. He charged me an insane amount ($1,500!) for one appointment with him that consisted of sitting with him, having one blood test and one urine test. He told me to use the patient portal to communicate and get answers from the tests taken in the office. However, Dr. Foley refused to answer any of my questions after 5 months of sending him questions. (I live in Washington State therefore cannot go back to see him hence the use of the patient portal) He forced me to go off the birth control pill and take an expensive estrogen cream instead, with no explanation when I was in the office and he refused to answer why via the patient portal. He actually gave me 8 papers written by doctors, unreadable unless you are a doctor, to make me figure out the answers to my estrogen questions myself instead of simply answering them himself. I actually stopped taking the cream after 2 month due to the side… effects and I've been perfectly fine ever since. I didn't need to go on any cream but it sure seems as if Dr. Foley wanted the kick-back from the pharmaceutical company so he prescribed me the cream. He also told me he wanted to go over my supplement intake and my blood test results. Which he never did even after using the patient portal in which is their office protocol. I've had to research my blood test results myself and start taking additional supplements not even knowing if I'm doing it correctly but Dr. Foley will not get back to me to help me. After 5 month of asking the same questions with no answers I thought I'd try to see if he is in it for the money so I asked him if he requires additional payment in order for me to get my questions answered. And what do you know he actually answered that question by telling me that I need to set up a conference call to discuss my questions which means I would have to pay him $500 per hour for that call. I don't trust Dr. Foley so I of course did not set up a call. Dr. Chris Foley is not in the "natural-path" business to care for his patients, he's in it for the money and you can't trust any doctor that treats his patients this way.

I went to Dr. Foley from a recommendation. He was more interested to find out what we did for a living in our doctor visit than he was discussing my health. He forced me to go off the birth control pill, with no explanation, he forced me to go on an estrogen cream, with no explanation. He asked me for my supplement intake list because he said he wanted to discuss those with me and let me know which I should take and which I should not take. He also did a blood test and gave me 20 results back that are unreadable unless you are a physician. And they also had me do a urine test. I live in Washington State, Dr. Foley is from Minnesota. He said he would explain to me the results from my supplements list, my blood and urine tests and answer any questions I may have by using their patient portal. The patient portal also states that you will get a reply within 2 business days. I sent over a dozen different messages to Dr. Foley via the portal with not one of my questions getting… answered (many the same questions because he refused to answer them). Instead of explaining to me about why he put me on an estrogen cream and multiple questions referencing the cream he gave me 8 doctor written papers making me figure it out myself, papers that you cannot understand unless you are a physician. Easier for him that actually being my doctor and explaining it himself. After about 5 month of trying to get him to answer any of my questions I figured maybe he wanted more money so I sent him a message that asked him directly if he needed more payment to discuss my test results, supplements and estrogen questions. (I already paid him an outrageous amount of money for one visit, I paid him $1,500 to sit with him, get one blood test and a urine test! Absolutely insane to charge that much money especially when the doctor is not willing to go over the blood tests or urine tests with his patient!) Now I realize why he wanted to know what we did for a living so he can figure out how to get more money from me. He replied to that message immediately telling me that I should call the office to set up a conference call. Which means I would have to pay him another $500 per hour fee just to get my questions answered from the initial appointment when he told me to use the portal. He has an obligation to his patient however he doesn't seem to care enough about his patients to follow through with them. I've had to go over the blood test results myself by looking up the names of the test reports and diagnose myself what additional supplements I should start taking. There are some test results I'm very concerned about however I can't get any answers from Dr. Foley, it seems as if he would prefer that I live in Minnesota so he can tell me to come into the office to charge me $500/hour to tell me the results rather than using his office protocol. I stopped using the estrogen cream two months after I started it and I have no side effects at all. He likely wanted the kick-back that doctors get from pharmaceutical companies to keep me on that expensive cream prescription vs. simply explaining to me that I just no longer need to be on the pill at my age. Dr. Chris Foley is the worse "natural-path" doctor I've ever experienced and I will never go to him again and I wouldn't trust him if I were you either as he's clearly in the business for making money not helping patients.
