Dr. Christopher Harry Gaynor, MD

Back in 2021, Gaynor was supposed to start practicing at Phinney Ridge Primary Care, but he never did. Then a mysterious note appeared on the site, from Gaynor saying that he was leaving medicine early due to the "incredible stress" of the job. I witnessed this guy when he was at Qliance. There was no stress. As doctor jobs go, he's got one of the lowest stress jobs. I wonder what was actually going on. I say that because my own experience with him was horrendous. I swear he was just making stuff up as he went along. One minute he was making some ignorant statement denigrating supplements, and implying I was a fool for taking them, and the next he was making up woo-woo "diagnoses". There seems to be this tension between his Dunning Kruger syndrome where he thinks he's a medical genius, and the voice in his head telling him he's not as smart as he thinks he is. He confidently says absolute nonsense, but if you dare to push back, he goes from his deceptively "friendly" demeanor to just… plain mean at the drop of a hat. I ended up going to a real doctor after this guy, and when I mentioned some of the stuff that Gaynor told me, he wrinkled his nose and said "are you sure this person has a medical license?" I told him who it was, and the other doctor laughed and said "oh... he has something of a reputation in Seattle". I feel like it would be inappropriate repeating what was said after that, but yeah. It's not a reputation I'd want. The reason I'm even writing this was I saw his name come up that he was involved with the Indian Health Board. I really don't think he has any business treating ANYONE. I had really hoped he was gone for good, but he's like a pimple that keeps surfacing.

Generally, you can tell a lot about a person's intelligence by their body language when you have a conversation with them. His default expression is, what could be described as "consciously polite" as he seems more importance in "acting like a doctor" rather than actually being a doctor. I was dealing with a mystery illness and I was hoping to get a referral from Dr. Gaynor to a specialist. The problem was I didn't even know what kind of specialist would treat what was wrong with me. I actually kept a journal of all the symptoms so I could share them with him during a visit, and when I tried to fit all this information into a clinic visit, he interrupted me and saying "you tend to talk a lot and not listen". In reality, he was not listening. During this visit and the many before, Dr. Gaynor did not seem to be absorbing anything I told him. I was telling him stuff that, by any standard, should elicit some concern from a doctor, and he maintained that placid, empty expression that… indicated he was not actually processing what I was saying. How this guy passed his MCAT let alone maintains his license is beyond me.

Very patient centric, made a great cardio referral. Proactive and responsive. Ignore the bad reviews

Not the least intelligent doctor. The least intelligent PERSON. Interact with him for 30 seconds and you'll see what I mean. Or better yet, don't and save yourself the money.

I did NOT have a good experience. First of all, he is not very knowledgeable. I would ask pretty basic questions and he would give me answers that I knew to be wrong. When I would question what he said, he would get defensive and accusatory as though I had insulted him personally. But maybe more than anything else, I simply got a very bad vibe being around him. It's hard to place exactly what it was, but I don't trust him, and I won't be going back.

I have seen Dr. Chris Gaynor three years ago when I was with Coordinated Care. Dr. Gaynor cares and I carry a lot of respect for him. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Dr. Chris Gaynor. The thing I liked the most about him is that he never prescribed me to go for a procedure or medication that I did not like.

I could tell you how he tried constantly to dope me up on various drugs despite never attempting any form of scientific diagnosis. I could tell you how I came to him with sudden blurry vision and joint pain and all he could say was "maybe you're gluten sensitive." Or I could tell you how he finally put me on a pill he said would treat my insomnia but was actually a dangerous anti-psychotic which turned me into a withdrawn shell of myself. When I asked him what dose to take, I caught him Googling it. And when I called him out on this all, with quite restrained language I might add, he whined that I was "belittling" him. He's a POS and he caused me irreparable harm. Avoid him like the plague that he is.

Good with families, children, LGBT, HIV. Good rapport. He will hug you (if you like) when you're feeling discouraged and when you share good news! Listens and will try things if you have ideas. Super supportive. Calls me with test results and answers questions. Perhaps not the best diagnostician, but for chronic care he's great. My only complaint is he seems happier when I'm doing well, and I fear I'll let him down if I'm not. But in reality he's just got my best interests at heart.
