Dr. Chris Godell, MD

He is the most caring and thoughtful Doctor I have ever seen. He takes the time to make sure I understand what he’s saying and makes sure I follow up. He is by far the best Doctor I have ever seen.

Dr Godell is a true professional with a very friendly demeanor. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and always has an action plan for it. Couldn’t ask for better support.

Dr. Godell was friendly and very informative. He took the time to answer all my questions without seeming to be in a hurry. My procedure was done expertly and his staff were available to answer questions and give biopsy results in a timely fashion.

Dr Godell is focused on me during appts, listens intently & uses his vast experience & skill to solve complicated issues. If you want a physician who applies his knowledge & doesn’t just reach for the prescription pad, Dr. Godell is your man.

Dr. Godell is a great Doctor. He explains the procedure to you thoroughly. If you have questions he answers them. He makes you feel at ease. I’m glad he is my Doctor.

It is so hard finding a really good Dr. now a days, especially this type of Dr., but Dr. Godell was absolutely amazing, he made me feel comfortable and it felt like he was really listening to me, understanding the problem and wanting to solve it. Would recommend to anyone wanting to find a sincere but professional Dr.

I read a couple of reviews talking about Dr. Godell not taking a patient if it had a prior gastroenterologist and assumed that the reviewer misunderstood the situation. But bizarre as it is, it is true. After waiting 10 minutes on hold to schedule an appointment the first question I was asked was whether I've had visited any other gastroenterologist in Austin. I haven't but I asked whether it mattered or not. The scheduler said that it mattered to Dr. Godell. That does not inspire confidence.

He really helped me with my pancreatitis when all others failed. I haven't had but maybe two or three flair ups in the last 6 years.

I've been going to Dr. Goddell for quite some time now. After years of inaccurate diagnosis, pain and frustration, he immediately identified the problem. He is a fabulous doctor. Any frustration I have is with the appointments taking weeks or even months, even with follow up; however, I will deal with that, just to have excellent and knowledgeable diagnosis, directives and discourse.
