Dr. Christopher Gary Holt, MD

Dr. Holt was friendly and concerned. He didn't push me to accept treatments that I didn't want. He seemed to be very understanding.

I had my first visit with Dr. Holt and I was very impressed with how much time he took to answer my questions and understand my unique health issues. I will definitely be going back to see him.

I am a Registered Nurse with 30 years of varied acute and chronic nursing care experience. I have worked in "Top Ten" teaching university hospitals and community hospitals across the country. Ive worked with and been cared for by many physicians from all specialties, philosophies, schools, and backgrounds. Dr. Holt shares a common trait with some of the best of these doctors who are highly thought of in their professional communities. He integrates scientific knowledge, practice, and intellect with the art and wisdom of interacting and caring for human beings. I trust Dr Holt with partnering with me in determining my healthcare decisions and options. A physician and patient relationship is probably the second most important relationship decision we have to make in our lives. I am happy with the choice I have made.

i went in to see Dr. Holt as a new patient, recommended by his colleague for symptoms of low testosterone. Dr. Holt offers a long acting option of testosterone pellets that no other internist in the area does. He verfified that i had low t 1st, then offered me trial injections for 2 weeks to see if my symptoms improved. They did. I was pleased with the results. He then offered me 3 different options of low t treatment. For me it was a no brainer to choose a pellet that makes me feel normal for 6 months. I had no scarring to the site, limite bruising for 5 days & a $20 copayment. I don't care to know about Dr. Holt's personal life, but I am content with the fact that he let me make my own decision and did not force me in any direction. I have to buddies that have already gone to see him because of my pellet experience. Dr. Holt is a great doc & I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Holt prescribed for me a medication that caused constant and explosive diarrhea, despite other options that were available. When I complained of the debilitating diarrhea, he did nothing to alleviate the symptoms. He diagnosed me with low testosterone and performed the testopel treatment. After going through 2 months of roid rage, heavy bruising at the injection site, $400 in co-pays, I found out that my testosterone was normal and that he is dating the rep for testopel. I don't know whether to rate Dr. Holt as a mere quack, or whether there is a method to his madness in the way of kickbacks from the drug companies. I highly warn against seeing him.

I was impressed that Dr. Holt took an active role in my health care by spending sufficient time and actually personally performing a blood pressure check.....not accustomed to that kind of attention from a physician. Very personable MD!

I recently moved to San Diego and was lucky to have Dr. Holt recommended to me by a friend. Intelligent and caring, Dr. Holt provides excellent primary health care. I highly recommend him to other patients looking for a quality physician in the downtown San Diego area.

My visit with Dr. Holt was stellar. I will now be choosing him as my primary care doctor due to his overall attentiveness with me and expertise in medicine. He also made it extremely easy to talk with him about my very personal problems. The overall comfort level for my second visit was that of an old friend. Truly a great experience.
