Dr. Christopher J Jones, MD

Was referred to this Dr after a trip to the ER. Appointment was made s was never seen by a doctor. Told we could not see DR for months as they are backed up. Not too good when you are given mess at the Hospital and they are not working correctly.

Dr. Jones has been such a blessing for my family! He is calm and laid back, so easy to talk to. His goal is to help his patient as much as he possibly can without meds, but definitely prescribes what meds are necessary. My family members and I love having him as a Dr.

As an adult patient , I cannot reference Dr. Jones' approach with adolescents. That being said, I have seen Dr. Jones on and off for about 6 years. (off times- no insurance) I appreciate him tremendously. A major advantage is/was having my counselor and Dr. Jones in the same Summerville office. They would refer to each other in reference to where I was (in my whackadoodle head). That helped a lot. Dr. Jones is not an aggressive Dr. and I appreciate that about him. I have seen other psychiatrist (before Dr. Jones). They were cold and made me feel uncomfortable to the point that I felt they just knew I was some kind of drug addict. Their job is to write our prescriptions that they feel necessary. Dr. Jones doesn't have a preconceived idea that you are there to fuel your drug addiction. To the previous review that Dr. Jones seemed "out of it", he works at 3 different locations. He sincerely tries to help people. I can see where he, as well as most Dr.'s can be "out of it" or temporarily… burned out. He is pretty awesome. I will not see another Dr. other than Dr. Jones. I recommend him to adults. I wish everyone the best in their search for understanding and in finding the best antidotes in treating these difficult issues we share.

We met Dr. Jones in Lexington in the morning and he seemed really out of it. He did not speak to me or my 9 year old son. I basically took over the entire conversation when he asked why we were here and explained all of the background and he apparently did not review the therapist report about medication concerns which we were getting from his pediatrician. Dr. Jones did not address behavior modification, medication management, and really seemed like he was just there to write a prescription for whatever I asked for, which I am not a doctor so I really didn't know what medication was best for my son since we had tried so many brands for his ADHD and there was so many side effects. He proceeded to schedule another appointment without me even knowing and I am currently trying to request a different doctor.

When I showed up for my 6 year old. Dr. Jones didn't even talk to her except to say hello. He asked what my concerns were then said I feel like you are looking for medication. Which I wasn't unless it was necessary. I wanted his professional opinion. Maybe some behavioral tips. He went off only my observations which as a mom can be over blown. He should of at least asked her how she felt before writing two scripts. Then asked me if I wanted to come back for a follow up. Shouldn't he see a child again after putting them on some major medicine. I will find someone new. Very disappointed.
