Dr. Christopher Shaw Jones

Christopher Jones, MD, PC is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at his private practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. One of the most experienced plastic surgeons in the field of body-contouring surgery, Dr. Jones has performed over 2,000 post-bariatric body contouring procedures since 1993. Having also explored the exciting new aspects of plastic surgery, he’s added to his repertoire noninvasive and minimally invasive procedures. The advancements in noninvasive technology and treatments allow his patients quicker recovery.

Dr. Jones graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and then entered the University of Texas’ Southwestern Medical School, also in Dallas. He underwent a residency in general surgery, then in plastic surgery at Indiana University, and spent a final training year in Manhattan’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center learning microsurgery and tissue transplantation. It was at Sloan Kettering that he and his professor, Dr. David …Hidalgo, had the privilege of performing reconstructive surgery on many cancer patients.

Shortly after, he relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he became involved with the challenge of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery on bariatric surgery patients.

Dr. Jones continues to practice in the ever-changing and challenging field of plastic surgery. When asked what his favorite operation is, he has always said, “I do not have favorite operations. I have favorite patients.”
