Dr. Christopher Roberts Klotz

I have been a patient of Dr. Klotz for over 25+ years. I appreciate the time that he takes listening to my problems/concerns. I have never had an issue with him not ordering tests when they were needed to figure out the problem. I have recommended many friends to Dr. Klotz and they are loyal patients still.

The doctor rescheduled my appointment and then left me waiting in the exam room for 1 hour and 15 min with no word from anyone. I was so frustrated I left the office to find a better healthcare provider.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. Horrible experience with Dr. Klotz and his staff. Apparently, they only give you the time of day when you agree with him and go along with his misdiagnosis. After going in for pain and inflammation lasting over 6 months, he diagnosed me with a drug allergy from an anti-inflammatory that I had taken for 1.5 days 6 months prior to that appointment. Ummm, no doc, that's about the most ridiculous diagnosis and anyone with any common sense at all will tell you that increasing swelling NOW is not a result of a very small amount of something that was taken 6 months ago. So when I keep pushing, trying to figure out the real problem and ask for more tests, he refuses, telling me that we don't have a diagnosis. Yea, because that's what we are trying to figure out. So I gave up on him and went elsewhere to get tests run. That doctor didn't know what it was either, but the tests gave me enough info for me to figure what it is, and it's a VERY rare… condition that I don't expect any doctor locally to know anything about it. Turns out I need a referral to an endocrinologist and they won't take it from anyone but my primary care physician so that they can get the records, which there's not going to be anything in that file about this condition so it's pretty pointless anyway, but they won't make an appointment without it. So I request the referral from Klotz's office. Currently it has been over two weeks after they finally agreed to do it, and they STILL have not processed the referral. I even called 2.5 days ago and left a message for the person that was supposed to handle that paperwork and I have yet to receive a return phone call. I'm not after medication (this condition doesn't even have a drug treatment), I just want an accurate diagnosis so that I can know how to live my life and know what I can and can't consume. But this doctor and his staff are only responsive if you are a good little, non-inquisitive patient who has no interest in getting to the truth about their health.

He is an amazing doctor very through and caring had been my doctor over 20 years he also took care of my husband would highly recommend him

I have degenerative disk disease and he made me feel like a drug addict for needing tramadol that is prescribed to me to help with pain. I had just had a benign neurofibroma removed from my back and he said it was infected with MRSA. I got a 2nd opinion from the physician who performed the surgery and his first statement was "Please tell me your not going back to him." So not only does he assume if you need pain medication that you are a drug addict he also misdiagnosed me. I will never go back.

Talks about everything except what I actually went in for. Makes me think that he doesn't know anything about being a doctor.

I like Dr. Klotz and I believe he is smart. I also think he "plays by the rules" and is too conservative with his treatment. ( St. John says do this-charge that) I think he has forgot that he works for the patient to make their life better.

Staff at check in desk ask personal questions, such as phone number, DOB, address, SSN, insurance info, plenty to steal your identity loud enough that anyone in waiting area can hear. Nothing private at check-in. Expect to wait an hour beyond appointment to be called to a room to wait another 30 to 45 minutes before seeing the Dr.

I like Dr. Klotz and have been using him for about 5 years. However, his first concern is not always the patient. He is way too conservative about prescribing medications. If you are in pain, he won't prescribe much and you will just have to suffer. He doesn't listen very good as to why you are there to see him. In my opinion a doctor should help the patient first and foremost. He acts like he is afraid to prescribe any medications. That's what medicine is for, to alleviate patients ailments.
