Dr. Christopher D Lawrence, MD

I have been a patient of dr Lawrence for almost 10 years I was extremely happy with him and his staff. I thought so highly of him that I had my husband start seeing him Unfortunately about 4 yrs ago there was a shift in staffing and he lost a very good PA then he joined a medical group and the care and response has been less than even “ok” The last 8 months have been the worst. It started with no return sick calls. We have both waited for responses and nothing from them for 5 days with us calling 3 times to try and get a call back. This last fiasco my husband called for a refill for his diabetic medication and they called in the wrong dose, he didn’t notice right away, and left 5 messages stating his sugar is over 250 And they still did not call him He finally ended up going to the er because the 6th call he finally told them he started having shortness of breath then they sent him to the er. So disappointed.

If u go to an emergency room and Dr. Lawrence is the doctor then walk away. I saw him Sunday with a really bad looking arm and an ultrasound was taken because I was afraid of blood clot but no X-ray. Today I went to LOS and after an X-ray it discovered I have a fractured elbow. Hey actually run away!

I am sorry but 2.6 rating out of 5 is not GOOD!!!!! At best it is BAD!!!!!

Horrible bedside manner. Saw him in er at Lafayette general, didn't help me. Ended up going to Opelousas general and they admitted me with CDiff. Went again last night to Lafayette general and he was so rude. When you are in pain you think you can trust a doctor to figure out what is going on. He better hope that there is not another misdiagnosis again.

I went in with severe back pain at first he wasn't very concerned and didn't take much time with me he may have thought I was faking or drug seeking but even with those thoughts he did a CAT scanand when the results came back the compassion that he showed me was amazing I had no insurance and couldn't get anyone to give me a walker and he made sure that I got one. a lot of people complain about doctors but we have to take into consideration the riff raff they deal with on a daily basis.

Wow what a jerk. Could practically see him rolling his eyes at me in his head as I was giving him a brief medical history. Will make sure I am not seen by him again.
