Dr. Christopher J. Long, MD

I would not recommend Dr Long nor the Voorhees pediatric urology department. Thus far, my experience has felt borderline neglectful. I have expressed concerns regarding the lack of efficacy of the treatment modality provided to my son and after nearly a week, have yet to hear back with any alternative treatment options and was only given a follow-up appointment that is a month away. After initial testing (abdominal x-ray, uroflow, etc) was inconclusive, further testing was indicated starting with a 2nd x-ray. The office indicated they were having difficulty uploading x-rays to the electronic chart, so I physically provided the original copy for review. After nearly 2 weeks with no word, I finally received a phone call from a PA in Philadelphia indicating they could not locate the films. I'm actively seeking treatment elsewhere and would recommend anyone considering treatment here look elsewhere. I am not one to complain as I work in the medical field myself and understand the… challenges posed, but if I ran my office like this, I'd be out of a job and my son would be no sooner to finding any relief from his yet to be diagnosed condition.

Dr. Long went out of his way to explain our son's urologic issues in both technical and layman's terms to address our concerns as I am an in the medical field and my husband is not. He always provided superb clinical expertise, and remained kind and supportive.

Had obj obstruction treated by him with robotic laparoscopic pyeloplasty. He was great throughout the whole thing, I was really sick for two days in the hospital after surgery and he was great about trying to figure out why and there every step of the way. Couldn't have asked for a better doctor through the whole thing. My only complaint would be that his residents or the department's residents seemed completely uninterested in my health, they refused to answer the nurse's pages to put in orders and they were frankly kind of rude but not his fault. Dr Long was great!! You could tell he truly cared about his patients . The nurse practitioners who are with him in the office are also awesome. Being sick in college is awful but I was happy to have my surgery done by a great doctor at a great hospital where my care was excellent following surgery with the exception of a few residents.
