Dr. Christopher Eugene Lord, MD

I met with Dr. Lord recently after battling with addiction, anxiety and depression. This was my first time seeing a Psychiatrist, and although I was nervous, the appointment could not have been more comfortable. Dr. Lord went out of his way to accommodate me, even after a power outage at his office. He took his time, acted genuinely interested, thoroughly explained the treatment plan and gave me hope. Dr. Lord also stated that although medication can be helpful, he is conservative when it comes to medications. Moreover, he explained possible side effects, and started me on tailored doses to see what medication regimen will work best. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Lord.

I've seen several psychiatrists over the years and Dr. Lord is by far the most thorough, caring, and knowledgeable. I've seen him in 2011 and 2018, and he is still the same excellent doctor he was in 2011. He's not in a rush to medicate somebody if he doesn't feel it's needed, but if he does recommend a medication, you can tell he has a very thorough knowledge of the medications and is careful to inform you about potential side-effects. He actually recommended I talk about the medication with my family before taking it. I've never had that happen with another doctor before, but I have had doctors with the "let's try this next" mentality. He does have a personality that some people may not "get." He may seem kind of nerdy but to me he comes across as highly educated and analytical, but also clearly compassionate. Don't pay attention to negative reviews that are two words long.

I've seen several psychiatrists over the years and NEVER found one to be as compassionate, caring and knowledgeable as Dr. Lord. First psychiatrist who ever took an extensive history of my depression and didn't try to pump me with the standard antidepressants. He gave me options and I was surprised that there were so many!! He really listens and I never feel he's rushing me out b/c he has another patient waiting. He doesn't forget me between 6 month appointments!!! As far as I'm concerned he sets the standard for how ALL psychiatrists should treat their patients.

Dr Lord is an excellent psychiatrist. He helped me get off of medication and has helped me stay off of it even when I doubted myself. Unlike most psychiatrists, he does not see medication as the only solution.

After being misdiagnosed, mistreated, dismissed, mismanaged on the wrong medication Dr. Lord was the only and last attempt to a normal life. I was nearing suicide several times, my misdiagnosis and wrong medications nearly killed me not to mention I now have perm. chemical changes and on-going side effects from them I can now say that I am better than ever. Dr. Lord always has compassion and his clients best interest at heart. He is very thorough and doesn't drug someone just to see if "something works." He doesn't treat side effects from other medications to just mask things. He wants his clients to be healthy and truly cares for the entire person not just the illness. I would recommend him, and already have to everyone that is looking for an amazing doctor. I never wait for more than a couple of minutes in his office, he is great at not over scheduling his clients just incase something comes up that he needs extra time with someone.

1 among many horrible experiences with the "doping" doctors in this facility. Horrible bedside manner, only prescribes "his favorites", very condescending and unprofessional, skip him and get a "real" doctor.
