Dr. Christopher Steven Lowden, MD

I went to Dr. Lowden during a anxiety attack and and he did not seem to know what to say to me. He called me a derogatory name and said my emotions were going around the room and landed on him. That I was blaming him for my attack

I've had several psychiatrists over the years and none of them even begin to compare. I didn't know psychiatrists could be this amazing. I found out recently he is leaving his practice at Northshore for a private practice. He can't tell me where he's going because of his contract. Finding out he's leaving brought me to tears. You won't find a better doctor. Oh, and wait time has usually been less than five minutes. Occationally I'd be early for appointments and he would take me before my scheduled time when he could.

He's great. He really cares about your progress and well-being and it's obvious. He makes sure to ask how you're doing alongside medications, and takes uncomfortable side effects very seriously. He remember details about your life (I don't know how!) and makes you feel very much like a human, not a diagnosis.
