Dr. Christopher Walsh Martin, MD

Just about kicked me out of hospital even after I informed the attending physician that I was not physically well enough to go home(effects of anesthesia and blurred vision from heart surgery only finished the night before). The surgeon told me he would have the orders changed, and then Martin had that rescinded. Have no idea what happened since he told me that I was not to contact the physician who did the surgery and that I was to refer to my cardiologist that referred me to him. Not very nice about the whole thing, either.

I think he would be better and have a better attitude if he wasn’t so overwhelmed and overworked. How can any hospital really expect one hospitalist to see all the new consults and current patients. Yes, he has nurse practitioners to assist. Some are good. One is great, but you can’t overload someone that long and expect him not to start to lose it. Tower health and upper management needs to get their heads out of their a** and if they really wanna go magnet. They need to realize they are looking at all the wrong things. The Pca’s have no experience, they are pulled everywhere and never have a home. They are literally hired off the street because they wanna be nurses. No certifications, not prior patient encounters ever in their lives. Tracy Duffy does not properly educate any new employees. Especially the current ones. Tower Health you have a serious problem here all around. You really need to come look. Don’t talk to upper management, they lie.

Refused to include other doctors already involved with patient.

Recently my mother was in Phoenixville Hospital, after a nightmare night not being able to breathe this Dr Martin comes in the room with an attitude, and when asked for answers of what happened to my mother he threw his hands up in the air and said we are done here! This man is arrogant and rude! Should not be allowed to see patients. I hope that the hospital dose something before someone dies in his care!

Doctor Martin is a disgrace to his profession. Who comes into a room where a woman recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and is rude, unfeeling and unprofessional? He had the uldasity to throw his hands up and state “we are done here”, and storm out of room. He never answered our questions nor explained why this woman had an episode of being unable to breathe. Was he intimidated by being questioned? Where is his bedside manner? Phoenixville Hospital would be best served by removing this person from their hired rooster. Shame on you Christopher!!!!

My mother was seen by this doctor while at Phoenixville Hospital. She was hospitalized with pneumonia and sepsis and being treated with IV antibiotics and steroids. Martin wanted to switch antibiotics to one that puts her in a coma (it's an allergic reaction). She declined. Then he says that he'll put her in ICU while they give her the drug. She still declines. Martin actually fought with her on this. What good is being in ICU if you're in a coma? One does not need a medical degree to see the logic here. Then, Martin and a few other doctors went to her room to tell her they were discharging her and that the sepsis is gone. When she requested a copy of the blood test results showing that the sepsis was cleared, they refused. Luckily an infectious disease dr was able to override Martin's order for discharge because she was not yet clear to go home until the sepsis is showing clear for 48 hours. This is about filling beds, not making patients well. Dr. Martin... do you… remember "First Do No Harm"?

My father is currently under Dr Martin’s “care”. No one has ever seen him or spoken to him. He has never had the courtesy to explain his treatment or even introduce himself. Upon being discharged from the hospital the pharmacist intervened to stop my father from being discharged on the wrong medication and treatment plan. Thank goodness someone is paying attention to the patient!! Go elsewhere!!

He spent ten minutes with me but charged insurance for a physical. No poor work or history taking. No blood work.

OMG , I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE EVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A RUDE AND UNCARING PHYSICIAN. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT PMA WAS THINKING WHEN THEY HIRED HIM IN PLACE OF DR. STEPANSKY WHO HAS RETIRED. I HAVE ALREADY REMOVED ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS FROM THIS PRACTICE AND WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO PMA IN THE FUTURE. P.S. HE REFUSES TO CALL YOU BACK EVEN WHEN IT IS A CRITCAL OR NOT CRITCAL, AND WHEN YOU CALL TO FOLLOW UP "HE HAS HIS RECEPTIONIST" TELL YOU WHAT HIS RESPONCE IS, DOES THIS MAN EVEN KNOW WHAT "HIIPA" STANDS FOR?
