Dr. Chris Miller is awesome. He is the best Doctor I have seen

Very condescending

Amazing and understanding physician. He saw and listened to our parental concerns for our son's illness. He put together a team of his colleagues including himself, who all were exceptional, to help get to the bottom of our son's illness. We had seen other physician's, but our son's health just kept getting worse. Our son is still fighting illness, but he is no longer getting worse, he is improving. Thanks to the GREAT and CARING care we received from Dr. Miller.

From the first time I took my son to see Dr. Miller I haven't been happy. He never reads the charts or paperwork from the ER or hospital stays before he sees my son. Always asking why we are there and doesn't realize we are there for a followup. We have had conversations about stopping medications and trying new ones at multiple appointments only for him to tell me that he doesn't remember us having that conversation or he didn't write it down in his chart. The time he took my son off one med and couldn't recall doing so at the next appointment really got under my skin. I pulled out the paper and said... "Well, here's the instructions you wrote out foe me to wein him off of it." His only response was, "oh." Not to mention, he never listens to my thoughts or concerns. If it's not something he likes then he won't do it. It always has to be his way. I have to now be extra cautious of the meds he calls in after I received a call from the school that he was very out of it and they thought… he might be overdosing on his meds. Come to find out, he called in the wrong dosage on the prescription. You are supposed to be able to trust the doctor who cares for your child. How could I ever trust someone like that. The other day my son was in the hospital and was supposed to followup with Dr. Miller within 1-3 weeks. They told me to call and move up the appointment my son originally had since it was 7 weeks out. Dr. Miller apparently put a note in my sons chart saying to keep the same 7 week appointment for the followup even though the ER instructions say 1-3 weeks. I have been in the process of trying to find a new neurologist and it's been hard trying to find that perfect doctor. I can't keep taking my son to a incompetent doctor that is obviously getting to old to remember how to do his job. It's unacceptable. So, if you want to get the help for your child that they need I would steer clear of this neurologist.

If you have Tricare as a primary or secondary insurance do not even bother trying to make an appointment with Dr. Miller or any other doctor in the practice. Even if your child was seen in the ER at Children's Hospital and you were referred to Dr. Miller they will not see your child. Apparently, the practice receives some type of government funding and will not get it if they see anyone with Tricare. The office refused to see y son yesterday for his scheduled appointment after I pulled out my Tricare card. They did not even care that it was y secondary insurance nor would they even let us pay out of pocket for the visit. So frustrating!! We will be seeing a pediatric neurologist in Chattanooga.

He doesn't have good bedside manners but is very book smart. We trust his opinion with out child's delicate condition most of the time. However, he always thinks he's right and if it wasn't his idea, it probably wasn't a good one. He's fairly dismissive of questions if he thinks they don't apply. Seems to forget most parents aren't a neurologist in the way he discusses matters and doesn't factor in that you're seeing it from a parents point of view. Again, though he is well qualified if you can get past the rest. Don't allow him to intimidate you. You are your child's greatest advocate!!!! If they don't have you to back them up who else will?
