Christopher Molinar, DDS
Dr. Molinar grew up in Carlsbad and was fortunate enough to return when he purchased the practice in 1997. Dr. Molinar went to Cal-Poly, San Luis Obispo for his undergraduate studies and graduated from the University of Southern California, Dental School, where he also was a part-time instructor before returning to Carlsbad. Dr. Molinar was very happy to return to Carlsbad so that he and his wife can raise their two beautiful children in the same town that he grew up in.
Dr. Molinar has a true compassion for his patients and consciously works to meeting their needs and taking care of their dental problems. He is committed to continuing education and is an avid reader of dental literature and manages to use this up-to-date information to offer the best care and results for you, his patient. He explains his answers carefully so that his patients can understand him and have the opportunity to ask him questions; he doesn't try to rush through your visit. Dr. …Molinar believes that children should be seen as early as possible, even if it is just to watch you at your dental visit. Because he is not just a cosmetic dentist, he can see you and your entire family!
Dr. Molinar has purchased a newer piece of technology called CEREC which allows him to produce crowns, inlays and onlays in his office rather than send these cases off to a foreign lab. This eliminates temporaries, a return visit, the use of additional anesthetic in most cases and allows him to take care of people who have busy schedules and or just visiting the area.
The use of AIR ABRASION technology allows Dr. Molinar to take care of small cavities without the "drill", the "needle" or discomfort. He believes in taking care of it while it is small instead of waiting for it to get bigger which often leads to additional cost, discomfort and complication - ie: root canal. It also allows for the placement of sealants on children and adults to prevent decay from occurring.
