Dr. Christopher L Montgomery, MD

Kit Montgomery, M.D., graduated from Washington and Jefferson College and went on to earn both a Masters of Science in toxicology and a Medical Degree with High Distinction from the University of Kentucky. He completed his residency at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and the University of Kentucky where he has remained on staff since 1989. He has served as the director of anesthesia since 1990 and provides anesthetic care for a wide range of cases with specialization in pediatric anesthesia and pain management. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with subspecialty certification in Pain Management. Dr. Montgomery is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, the International Anesthesia Research Society and the International Association for the Study of Pain. He remains active in both teaching and research in the UK College of Medicine, serving since 1992 as director for a senior level course in clinical …pharmacology. He has been recognized by the the school with a teaching award and the Clerkship Excellence award.
