Ineptitude and arrogance is my impression. He did not do Bariatric surgery on me. He did however, do a surgery that has caused daily debilitating painful abdominal contractions day 4 after my surgery. . The reason I cannot give him a better review is his care of me after surgery. I had surgery almost three years ago. I went back for help. He ordered a test I went to have today. I’m thankful God always shows up on time. The nuclear radiologist started questioning and called Northrup because It was the wrong test. I’d be exposed to radiation by IV and the test would have been pointless. I’m at my wits end and still suffering and he never returned the email I sent to follow up. He told me at my last visit there is very low chance that I’m having complications and he’s never had an issue in his almost 25 years of being a surgeon. But then ended with “I could be wrong it’s not impossible I didn’t do something in surgery.” He told me to go see a GI specialist and left the room after my… husband and I waited an hour in the room. I’d understand, but he didn’t even review my case before he came. He didn’t remember anything about me despite his nurse told me he wanted to see me since I was still having pain. I would have never have gone if I thought he had not even reviewed who I was before walking into his office. He referred me to a pain specialist. I don’t want to manage pain. I want a doctor who isn’t satisfied when their patient is suffering and cares enough to be active in finding help. Yes, this is a long review but it’s also been a very emotional day.
