Dr. Scott Nunes, MD

After 10 to 12 years as a patient at this practice, I feel compelled to share my experience, as I genuinely believe it could help others making a decision about their primary care. Let me be clear: Dr. Nunez is exceptional. My experience with him has always been nothing short of five stars. He is thorough, personable, and over the years took the time to truly get to know me as a person, not just a patient. We talked about our kids heading off to college, life in general, and through all of it, he had me dialed in medically for years. That level of care and trust is rare and I valued it deeply. My concern lies with the PA experience, specifically with Wendy. I will say that after some time, Melissa and I developed a great rapport, and she came to understand the level of care Dr. Nunez had already established for me. Wendy, however, was a different story. I felt she was extremely conservative and, frankly, not accustomed to managing patients who fall outside the textbook. Her approach… was never consistent with the care Dr. Nunez had set as the standard. Our disagreement was, at its core, over slightly elevated blood pressure readings, which anyone familiar with white coat syndrome would recognize as a nuanced conversation, not a black and white one. I want to be equally clear about how I conducted myself during that conversation. At no point was I disrespectful, rude, or out of character. I was strictly professional in questioning her opinion about my treatment. When she offered to cancel the appointment and reschedule with Dr. Nunez directly, I was completely receptive to that idea. Only to have her step back out, return to the room, and tell me they would go ahead and refill my prescriptions and that I did not need to worry about scheduling a follow-up. I left that appointment believing everything had been resolved. Four to five days later, I received a letter in the mail stating I had been discharged from the practice, with a note not to call the office as it would not change the outcome. No conversation. No warning. No phone call from Dr. Nunez. I reached out to Dr. Nunez personally, hoping for some closure after more than a decade together. I never heard back. Not a word. I genuinely cannot believe this is how Dr. Nunez would want a long-term patient relationship to end, without at least a conversation. That alone tells me there may be more happening behind the scenes than he is aware of. I have since noticed that the practice's responses to critical reviews tend to follow the same script about striving to provide the highest level of care and asking patients to call the office. I understand that is the standard approach, but I hope this review reaches someone on the team, or Dr. Nunez himself, who takes it seriously. Would I want to continue seeing Dr. Nunez? Yes, without question. Am I willing to be seen by Wendy again? No. And unfortunately, the way this was handled leaves me with very little confidence that the practice values long-term patient relationships the way I believed it did. I share this not out of anger, but because I think people deserve to know the full picture.

I have been coming to this office for years and they are always so great! They always go above and beyond. Last time I was in Rina, one of the nurses, even spent a lot of time explaning the medications I needed to take and when to take them. She went above and beyond. Amazing patient care and I would recommend them to anyone.

The staff treat you like an inconvenience. Stay far away if you want quality care.

Great little office with very nice staff. Was able to call and get a new patient appointment almost immediately. When i arrived i was greeted with a smile and friendly faces. Highly recommend them for families or anyone looking for a new PCP.. Also, the ARNP and PA they currently have, have been there for years now's.

What a great little office! Highly recommend them. I spoke with the physician about the negative review and he had no problem explaining. Most people "only write negative reviews and never good ones" he said and that they take discharging a patient very seriously and only do it when absolutely necessary. He also told me that the ARNP and the PA they currently have, have been there for years now..

What a fantastic office. I was greeted immediately by Tamie and Jordan who were very nice and friendly. My appointment was on time and I left feeling as though all of my issues were discussed and addressed. I was a little hesitant about the reviews, but after seeing how the office operates and how rude people were to the staff I can now understand why some people get discharged and that is COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE. These people are on the front line and show up everyday and should not be yelled at!! I will gladly be back and will let everyone know about this amazing local office.

My son saw Dr. Nunes once. The next five or six visits were with a nurse at the same cost. He was misdiagnosed and when he saw a specialist on his own, he was sent a rude letter discharging their services. Office staff has real disdain for patients. Call their number and you will never get a real voice. Recording tells you all the things they won't do and what you can't do. Was told that the messages I left for nurse went to some call center in Idaho that they never listen to. Walk into the office and you are met with a receptionist who is facing you but makes you wait to look up at you with a straight, almost hateful face, as if you are the enemy. Why not spend your hard earned money where it is appreciated?

After 15 years of seeing Doctor Nunes, my husband received a letter saying that he no longer is welcome as a patient. He recently had to have some tests scheduled (per PA in the office). Never see Dr. Nunes anymore! We experienced a lot of stress trying to schedule these tests with Health First. Dr. Nunes' office offered no assistance with this problem. When I voiced my annoyance and stress, they replied by dismissing us from the practice!

My husband and I have been patient's of Dr. Nunes since 2002. We both hold him in our highest regard. He is attentive, professional, and throughly interested in you as an individual. The best doctor, and we are happy he is ours.
