If you need a medication that requires prior approval, this is DEFINITELY NOT the doctor for you. My son has been on an ADHD medication that needs a prior approval annually, and has been getting his prescriptions through Dr. O'Halloran for 4 years with no problem.....up until now. Now, instead of processing the PA online with our insurance company, he's changed his policy and now requires US, not his office staff, to contact our insurance company and have them fax the doctor the PA form. He would then fill it out by hand (which is going back to the stone ages), and faxes it back to my insurance company. By going this route, it could take at least a week or more for my son to get his medication. The ADHD medication can only be filled when he is down to his last pill or two at the most. With Dr. O'Halloran changing his policy, my so would be out his medication at least a week (or more depending on when the doctor decides to fill out the form and send it in) before getting his next… prescription. When I spoke with his office staff the first time, they stated that only the doctor could fill out the PA because there was information requested on the form that only the doctor would know. This is ridiculous because all the information needed on the PA is in my sons file. His nurse has access to my son's file so why can't she go online and fill out the PA? By filling the form out online, my son could have his medication the same day. Needless to say, we will be taking my son to another doctor. This is very poor customer service. Once my son started taking the medication, his grades in school went from C's and D's to A's and B's because it helped dramatically with his concentration. He's been off the medication for 5 days now waiting for the PA to be sent. BTW, the doctor happens to be on vacation this week so since he's not there, his nurse is also off as well and he is the only doctor in the practice that prescribes ADHD medication. No one else can help us get my son his medication until he's back from vacation. If you need medication that requires a PA, I suggest you choose your doctor wisely and don't go to this one.

I am a new patient and am very pleased with dr. O'Halloran and his staff especially pam his nurse I just found out I am diabetic he is trying diet changes with me first and not just having me start taking a lot of meds . I like that and he listens and explains what he wants me to try in a way that is very easy to understand.

If you want a great doctor, this one is it. He is awesome and he truly cares about your well being. The best thing I like about him is if he can't figure it out he will not stop helping you until he does figure it out. There are not enough doctors like him out there. He is not a pill pusher kind of doctor either. If you don't need it, why take it.
