Horrible experience. Kyphoplasty was botched. 30 percent before 60 percent after. Wide awake. Not enough pain medication. Heard him say we have a leak out the left posterior. Been in horrendous pain but prescribes gabapentin. Nothing. Shouldn't be working on people's spines. Ruined my life. Save yourself. Do not let this person touch you. You'll regret it. My suffering is terrible. I lost a gallbladder due to his decisions. I don't want anyone to ever go thru the horror and pain that I dealt with. Sorry I ever went there. Be smart.

I nearly never write negative reviews, but given how appallingly unprofessional he is, I felt I had to. This doctor prioritizes money over patient concerns. In fact, after being a patient for five years, he explicitly stated that he would not answer a simple follow-up question via phone because "I am not giving care away for free". When I confronted him about this at my next appointment, he tried to blame SSM higher-ups and would not take responsibility for what came out of his own mouth. He sees patients as profit centers, and needs a refresher on the Hippocratic oath, medical ethics, basic human decency, and bedside manner. Don't waste your time.

I found this Doctor to be arrogant and uncaring

I had a visit with Dr.Patton last week for severe pain that I could not could not control. He has been my pain doctor for at least 6 or 7 years and has always been able to help me. Dr.Patton is an excellent doctor. Never rushes you, is very patient and of course,very knowledgeable. I recommend him 100%

To anyone seeking a pain management doctor for themselves, family, or friends...please do NOT go to this doctor! I had the ultimate worse consultation with him this past Monday. My neurologist and him talked about me having a spinal nerve block to help reduce the amount of pain I endure daily from Transverse Myelitis and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy before I met him. During my consultation these were just a few things he said to me,"I'm not a miracle worker and can't cure your problems." "Looking at your brain CT, everything seems to be working normal, maybe you just think you are in pain...have you ever been to a psychiatrist?!" "So if you can't feel your legs, how do you get around!?" "What I'm looking at is a 31 year old girl with some red toes and physical limitations! It's nothing you can't handle, I have seen people with WAY worse." "There is just nothing I can do for you and I don't think you have any of the diseases that doctors and neurologists have diagnosed you with over the… years!" Needless to say, I looked at him and told him,"It's not all in my head!" and walked out of his office in tears! Coping with my illnesses is already hard enough on me physically and mentally. I spend a majority of my days putting on a brave face as I struggle to get day-to-day things done for my family and friends, just so I feel normal(and because I want to) I didn't need this doctor to belittle me or make me feel worse about my struggles. I went to him for help with my pain and all he did was cause me more. Please let everyone know about this arrogant doctor!

Dr. Patton and his staff are great they are all about the patient and his/her pain they listen and know and understand.
