Dr. Rathfoot earned his bachelorâ€™s degree in microbiology and public health and his MD from Michigan State University. He did a surgical internship at Michigan State and a residency in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Rathfoot served with the U. S. Air Force and was stationed in Japan and at Elgin Air Force Base in Florida. While in the Air Force, he served as a consultant to the USAF Surgeon General for Material Command.

In addition to his specialties in otolaryngology, Dr. Rathfoot is certified in advanced cardiac life support and in advanced trauma life support. He was an instructor in the Joint U.S. Military Combat Casualty Care Unit.

He has written or co-authored several medical journal articles and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

The staff is wonderful. From the moment I walked into the office I was treated so kind. I discovered a mass in the side of my neck that did not respond to antibiotics. My PCP ordered Ultrasounds and a CT but never gave me a diagnosis. I work in the healthcare field so therefore, I just knew that this was cancer. When I called the office and explained the situation, Dr. Rathfoot worked me into his schedule. He explained everything to me. He was so reassuring and made me feel at ease. He explained that I had a Tumor in my Parotid Gland. We would not know if it was Cancer of not until I had the surgery to remove the tumor. He explained the surgery that I needed and reassured me that everything was going to be alright. I had my surgery and I am pleased to say that the tumor was benign. I would recommend Dr. Rathfoot to anybody who has a issue that requires a ENT physician.

I felt like a child. This doctor needs to grow up and be a man. Would not go back my mistake.

Talked tome like I was 2 - discounted anything I had to say that did not agree with his preconceived notion - even when questioned about his preconceived idea by another family member- did not answer questions - just barged ahead - I paid a copayment of $45 for nothing! Go see anybody else!
