I flew from Big Island to Hon. to this Dr and he acted like I wasn't even a person of interest. Being an RN for almost 30 yrs. and working with top physicians in Hawaii, I know the first thing a dr does to a new pt, is introduce himself. This guy walked in while looking at his computer and said "hi how are you", I said "not bad but not great, thats why I'm here"! No respond just started asking me when did my nose problem start what have I done, have I taken any meds, etc., etc. I finally said your suppose to have notes from my PC and you have a report with results from my ct scan. Your girl at the front should have given you my disc. I reached in my purse gave him my copies, he jumped up went to check my scan I think. He then probed my nose, ears, throat, the regular ENT which went well. He gave me antibiotics, we discussed surgery, he said he was booked thru Nov., and that his staff would be calling me to schedule. To this day I have not heard from them regarding Scheduling. He… said he would call with the culture results that he took and sent out. No call from him, I called DLS, they informed the results had come back days ago. I called them two days in a row leaving messages on a really "jacked up" phone system they have. I finally got a call from his assistant telling me that the dr said it was normal. I said anything specific to that,she said "no", he just said it was normal. I said okay, I will just call my PC and speak to her about my results. In conclusion I just want to say, I would't let this DR., cut my toenails!! Crista Gonzales, RN (retired)

I tried calling to reschedule an appointment and it was so hard to get through. I called for about more than 10 times!!! When finally my call went through the lady was making me feel like she doesn’t wanna be on the phone, I can tell with the way she talks to me. She wasn’t professional at all and was being rude the entire time.

Bad service no phone communications , no call backs !!!!

Went for a follow-up (Dr. Regala took over the caseload of my previous ENT). I didn't get satisfactory answers to my questions. The appointment was a waste of time.

Dr. Regala is NOT to be trusted under any circumstances. Your trust could well cost you your life.

Regala did surgery on my wife's nose and messed it up so bad we had to have another surgeon correct it. Regala did offer to correct the surgery, even admitted it needed to be done but we didn't trust his ability. His aloofness when we brought the problem to his attention also bothered us. I wouldn't let him trim a hangnail.

brought my 8week baby in to check on why my baby has a hard time inhaling. he stuck a 6 inch by 1.5 milli tubing through her nose and down her throat without any local anesthitic, baby was hysterically crying and scratching my arm for comfort. when tubing was pulled out he confessed he was not experienced enough and reffered us to another doctor at kapiolani women's and children's hospital. why couldn't he tell us about his experience before putting a baby through pain. i still have nightmares of this vision of her screaming and scratching.

Intellectually sound, but no caring in his eyes and sound.

He isn't gentle considering how sensitive a nose can be. Also, I felt more like a guinea pig than a patient. I also felt like he did more procedures on me than necessary which came with little to no results.
