Dr. Christopher David Sarzen, MD

Thanks to Dr Sarzen I was cured of Hep C, G4 after 12 weeks of treatment. His staff is very professional, courteous, and responsive to any questions we had. Dr. Sarzen was very knowledgeable in his field and is tuned into the newest treatments available.

I know that Dr. Sarzen doesn't write narcotics but my medication (Librax) is not technically considered one, so I called their staff and asked them several times if he could refill it before wasting my time going up there.... I get to see him and he says "I won't write that for you and I've never written that prescription for a patient in my life"

Buyer beware. He may be smart but not in my case. First, know that his office will NOT give you test results unless you go to his office. Yes, nice way to bilk you for office visits. In my case, he scared me into taking an HIV test because of a endoscopic finding. He asked no questions about my behavior - just "you may have HIV, need to rule that out". He does this on night before Christmas eve. Guess the holiday I had. I rush to get the blood work and then they won't tell me the results "until he gets back from the holidays". The stress he and his office put me through is unimaginable. Other doctors agreed his actions were ludicrous since the finding is common in GI disorders. How these folks stay in business is incredible. Thankfully, reviews are helping folks out -- if I only read them before I went. Good luck.

I am so sorry I ever met with Dr. Christopher Sarzen. I have records to prove that he acted dishonestly, unethically and illegally while handling certain aspects of my healthcare. I also have records to prove that Dr. Sarzen repeatedly suggested the wrong approach for resolving my digestive problems. One of his assistants was extremely rude to me and appears to be somewhat incompetent about how she does her job. The whole situation was -- and to some extent still is -- one big nightmare.

A the day of my diagnostic colonoscopy, arrived ay the surgery facility , 15 mins early....and over 2 hrs later I was rushed into the prep area.....during my changing into the gown, etc. I heard Dr Sarzen say through the curtain....what was going on b/c I need to get out of here on time because I have an appointment with a school principal.....I called him on it when he walked into my prep area with several support ppl, he did spend anytime speaking to me, was forcing me to have an IV in me before I met the anesthesiologist which was promised to me.....when I was finally taken to the operating room, the support staff was very nice, professionals....Dr Sarzen dropped something on the floor which made a very loud noise he demanded that lights be turned back on......finally when the sedation was started....I was still awake, he abruptly, with no care pushed something into my rectal area.....and when I woke up he was gone! and all he told my freind was all looked good....I have have had a… constant pain in my right side abdomen for over a month, I appalled! and will be looking for another Dr. with an understanding of me as individual with professionism and interest in solving my frustrating issue!

I HAD AN UPPER ENDOSCOPY DILATION PROCEDURE BY DR. SARZEN LAST TUESDAY.I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER! EVERYTHING WENT EXACTLY ACCORDING TO PLAN AND I AM FEELING GREAT! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. SARZEN AND HIS STAFF! I HAD THE PROCEDURE DONE AT THE NORTHWOODS SURGERY CENTER. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE STAFF THERE. THEY TOOK EXCELLENT CARE OF ME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. SARZEN!

For the past 1 1/2 years, I've had digestion issues, low energy and have felt extremely aged. I recently had a colonscopy as part of a physical. Dr Sarzen was extremely thorough in his analysis and discovered my root problem (Chrons). His detailed analysis found what many doctors just shrugged off. He was persistent and thorough and for that I'm grateful. With medication I feel 100% better (almost 15 years younger). He is a Dr that is concerned and interested in truly solving patients problems.

Dr. Sarzan is a good doctor, but his office staff is very unprofessional, not helpful, and are not very friendly nor caring towards the patients. I would not recommend anyone to this office because of the office staff.

I had been dealing with right side abdominal pain for years when I finally got in to see Dr. Sarzen. I didn't really have the textbook symptoms of anything. Several doctors before him had dismissed the pain as either being "all in my head" or "just something you're going to have to deal with." Dr. Sarzen did not. Despite what appeared to be all normal lab work and test results, he was able to finally diagnose me with a case of Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction and treat me for it. Finally, I am pain-free. I'm so thankful that he didn't dismiss my pain just because it wasn't an easy diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Sarzen because he is a great doctor. I also really enjoyed his staff as they are all very friendly and comforting. In addition, I really appreciated never having to wait for very long for my appointments as he is very punctual. He is very direct and I never felt like he was trying to "sell me" on a particular option. He presented me with all the options clearly and… gave me all the possible risks and benefits and let me decide. But most importantly, he never dismissed my pain just because he couldn't "see it" as many doctors before him had done. It made a huge difference.I'm feeling so much better now.I read some of his negative reviews and I feel I should point out that Dr. Sarzen can be a little awkward at times but you can stop him and say, "I have a concern" and he will stop, listen, and address your concern. He is very caring. When I was in the hospital the nurses were coming in to tell me he'd called to check on me again and again...even very late in the evening. I asked one nurse if all doctors called that often to check on patients and she said that they did not. In my experience with Dr. Sarzen, all concerns I brought to his attention were addressed immediately.
