Medical care is expensive and he needs to do due diligence if people are symptomatic for weeks and are referred to the ER by another medical provider. I never go to a doctor nevertheless ER. He implied that the medical professional that referred me to the ER was incompetent and wanted to know if they were male or female....He wanted to know their credentials. He also asked if maybe I was drunk at the time of the injury and I didn't want to admit that because he had other patients admit that to him....Not only am I completely insulted I am frustrated and out of pocket over a thousand dollars for this experience. Although I told him several times what happened he completely dismissed and ignored any efforts to investigate further. I was bit by a spider when I was driving my two sons to school at 5:30am. I am in severe pain when walking now when I was completely fine prior to the bite. My left leg is also swollen. Infection? Possible blood clot? Who knows but he should have at least… ordered blood work (to check cell count) and started ruling other medical issues out. Take the concerns seriously.
