Dr. Christopher Magnin Shale, MD

Dr. Christopher Shale is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Intermountain Health’s McKay-Dee Dermatology & Plastic Surgery clinic in Ogden, Utah. He supports patients in Ogden, West Haven, South Ogden, and surrounding communities, specializing in breast reconstruction, skin cancer treatment, reconstruction after cancer or trauma and cosmetic surgery of the breast and abdomen. 

Dr. Shale is Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, sits on multiple committees for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and represents the ASPS to the American Medical Association.

Dr. Shale and his wife Maggie grew up in San Diego. Dr Shale earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from UC Berkeley and went on to medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia on a US Navy Scholarship. He served in the US Navy doing his surgical internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego and then served four years with a Marine Helicopter squadron …deploying to Southeast Asia and Iraq. He then did General Surgery training and Plastic Surgery training at Scott & White Hospital in Texas.

He currently lives in Ogden with his wife and three daughters.
