The time spent explaining treatment options and nutritional approaches and behavioral strategies was simple incredible. He found that our child was severely vitamin D and iron deficient and it is very clear to us that he uses medications not as a first option. He also is incredibly available by phone and returned all of our phone calls personally. He also worked us in quickly when needed.

After years of seeing him as my psychiatrist, I can say with absolute certainty, that I would not be where I am today if he hadn't worked so diligently to get me here. I was in a bad place, and I felt like “getting better” didn't happen, people said it takes time, nothing that bad can last forever, but it sure seemed to. My entire life, but everything I remembered was always dark, it was scary. The things I used to love became sickening to me, and I would avoid them, and I thought this was how life would be. Going to so many counselors, seeking one out that might listen to me, or just remind me that I'm not insane, I just wanted someone to tell me that THIS was not the normal I was fighting for. He told me what I didn't want to hear, and every time I left, I was angry and sad, but the next day, and even hours later, i realized he was right. Finally, somehow, I marked 1s on my anxiety… and depression scales. I'm not like everyone else, but he gave me the chance to allow myself to exist, and that's all I ever wanted. His care for his patients might seem different, it might seem more direct, or blunt, but sometimes it's exactly what you need.
