Dr. Christopher James Tignanelli, MD

Saved my life. I was involved in a bad car accident and had to get emergency surgery at North Memorial hospital. He got me (and my family) through surgery and a long ICU stay. He did an excellent job answering questions and was extremely attentive to my wife's needs and questions while I was on the breathing machine. I hope no one has to go through what I did, but if you do it is great to know there are doctors like him in Minneapolis that can put people back together and support them and their loved ones throughout this terrible process.

Dr. Tignanelli did an outstanding job treating me for my appendicitis. He was very kind, patient and compassionate. He even drew my wife and I a picture of what was going on so we could understand better. The operation went good, no pain, and I was sent home the same day. Its been a few weeks and I am feeling great.

Dr. Tiganelli was my doctor for my bowel surgery. He did a fantastic job of alleviating my fears prior to surgery, explaining to me my procedure including using pictures. He was very compassionate and had a remarkable bedside manner. He sat down with me and my family every morning and evening to check on how our day was going and how I was doing with walking, my breathing machine, pain, and bowels.

This doctor was my husbands physician after liver transplant. His care and bedside manner were outstanding. He explained to us what my husbands course would be from here on out, drew us pictures of the operation and was very knowlegable about the surgery. He was very respectful aand answered all questions eagerly.

Dr. Tignanelli was our physician last month. He was very compassionate, kind. I appreciated him taking the time every morning to explain the plan for the day and answer pur questions. He seemed very knowledgable.

This young dr is the only one who understood my problem and took the time to care for me. He was incredible when I found myself at the end of my rope he gave me life i thought was slipping away. He is like a god in my opinion.

Wish this young MD to know that disrespect to your nursing staff is an announcement of your inability to see a complete picture. I was your patient, and what you didn't know was that I am a retired RN of 20+ years. My nurses just were bending over backwards to address my needs and try to communicate with you. When you so blatantly "brushed their communication aside" what you DIDN'T REALIZE is that you were brushing ME aside. Nurses speak for patients. Good ones do anyway. Shed your arrogance and listen to the ones that are trying to talk to you. I was interrupted by you 2 times during your rounds, and when I tried to tell you something, you lost attention. If medicine is boring to you, then try something else. But of all things, smarten up and realize nursing has 24 hours with US -those bodies in the bed. That is a lot of time to send a positive message YOUR way. OR it is a lot of time to validate that you do not care.
