Dr. Christopher A. Walter, DO

The office staff is awkward. Made an appointment with a distracted and impatient receptionist. When I called to verify my appointment since nobody called me back - the receptionist told me I was not scheduled. This was very unnerving and irresponsible on their part and I let her know this. She then made another appointment for me the following week. When I arrived for my appointment a bit early even though nobody instructed me to, I knew I’d have some paperwork to complete. I was given a mountain of paperwork to fill out from the exceptionally unfriendly woman at the front desk. I finally got into see this orthopedist, though I was by then 30 minutes behind my scheduled appointment time. The woman that took my X-rays was whispery and cold-eyed and I had to ask her to please speak-up. The person that roomed me wasn’t friendly either. I felt better before I came in, though my shoulder was in a great deal of pain. The doctor came in to the room when the medical roomer was still in with… me. She hurriedly left and the doctor seemed in a hurry as though he were angry with me - though I couldn’t put my finger on why. Uncomfortable office. I asked my primary doctor for a referral elsewhere.

I feel like a new person. Dr. Walters is very good at his job.

He is a Dr. who appears to know his experience and expertise. He makes sure you have all X-rays needed. He had the cast removed appropriatlly and timely. The problem arose with my referral. The referral for therapy was not made. I kept calling to have this referral made. A week later, I called for the second time. I was told by the therapist's receptionist the referral was not made, and how urgent that I have therapy immediately. There was a great lapse in communication! Thankfully, my therapist had a cancellation, and I was seen by the next day; otherwise, it could have been another month. I have Osteoporosis, so therapy is very important!

He is a no nonsense DR. who takes care of his patients. He wants to do what's right for the patient.

Dr. Walter was extremely helpful. He did everything he could to see my mother get the best care possible, he even had his assistant call multiple physical therapy places to see which one could accommodate some of difficult issues my mom was facing. Every appointment my mother has she is taken right back within minutes. Dr. walter was really nice and understanding. My mother has a hard time speaking, and is pretty slow, but doctor walter was patient with her. She enjoyed going to him because he treated her like family. I have no problem leaving her health in the hands of doctor walter.
