Dr. Christopher Anthony Warner, MD

I had a very concerning experience at Werner Wellness on March 4, 2026. Prior to my appointment, I received a text message stating my co-pay would be $155. I responded twice asking whether that amount reflected my insurance coverage but never received a reply. When I arrived for my annual exam, the front desk staff member informed me I owed a $75 no-show fee for a procedure I had canceled the previous year after discussing the cancellation with the office. When I tried to explain that prior conversation, my concerns were dismissed and I was told I would need to address it with the doctor. The staff member also relayed a comment she said the physician had made questioning why I had come in for my appointment. Because the interaction felt disrespectful and uncomfortable, I decided to leave. As I exited, the situation escalated and the staff member followed me into the hallway yelling and using profanity in a public area. I reported the incident to building security and patient… advocacy and filed complaints with the DC Department of Health, the DC Attorney General’s Office, and my insurance provider. Patients should never be treated this way.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I called to make an appointment with his office and was spoken to in a rude and demanding way. Shakara Mitchell, his office manager, was very rude. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing on the other end of the phone. I just got a new job and told her that I would pay out of pocket until my insurance activated two weeks later. She was incredibly rude and yelled at me over the phone. When I asked to speak to the doctor because I felt that she was being incredibly disrespectful, she said that the doctor was listening to our conversation silently and that he wouldn’t speak to me about her behavior and lack of customer service without becoming a patient (which I was trying to do). In the meantime, she spewed misinformation by saying that she could schedule me for an appointment where I could pay out of pocket and allow insurance to reimburse me when it activated a short time later, then she canceled the appointment and said that she never scheduled me.… I heard that he is a great doctor and, generally, I try to support doctors of color. But this office is extremely unprofessional. And if it is true that the doctor was listening to our conversation and he was okay with his staff treating the patients disrespectfully… RUN mama RUN! No woman should have to endure this type of mistreatment as an expecting mother. The OBGYN office is supposed to be an uplifting and encouraging environment for families. This office fell way short professional standards. At the end of our conversation, she told me that this office may not be a good fit for me. But if asking to be spoken to with dignity means that it’s not a “good fit…” think five times before going to this office.

Best OBGYN in the Washington DC area. I been going to him for 12 years and have followed him all over DC throughout the years.

Because of his professionalism, Dr. Warner is faced with many challenges being an ob/gyn doctor. Many women ask many questions and he does his best to answer each one. His patients emotional feelings and health is a number one priority to him. People may think his line of question are strange, but remember women tell their doctors things they don't tell their partners. When my daughter introduced me to Dr. Warner at Howard University hospital, I have been a long time patient of his ever since. He has shown me care and compassion to my feelings about my health. This man is very professional and a excellent doctor like him is hard to find. I truly recommend Dr. Warner to all women.

Dr. Warner Is A Phenomenal Doctor, And His Staff Are So Sweet & Nice! I Recommend Dr. Warner To Every Female I Know That Is Looking For A Doctor. I Wouldn't Trade Dr. Warner For Any Other Doctor! Thank You Dr. Warner For Being Such A Great Doctor And Having Such A Nice Staff.

All I'm Going To Say Is, Dr. Warner Is An Amazing Doctor! His Staff Is Great Too.

Dr. Warner is a very friendly and charismatic person. Dr Warner's M street office is very nice and his staff is pleasant as well. My wife's pregnancy was confirm by Dr. Warner, upon informing her of her pregnancy Dr Warner asked my wife if she wanted to keep the baby or have it aborted. I found this to be very disturbing. My wife has been placed on bed rest at WHC by Dr. Warner due to pregnancy complications. She has been in the hospital for almost a month now and has not spoken with Dr. Warner once regarding her status and why she is being held. He only speaks to the hospital staff when they have inquires. She is very upset about this and doesn't understand his blatant refusal to speak with her. I try to keep her in high spirits. The doctor's at WHC have expressed the same concern regarding his actions. Dr. Warner has a great attitude and winning personality, but if you are a high risk patient stay far a way, because he will ! My wife is currently making efforts to change her doctor… to a WHC physician since she has been dealing with them sole.
