Dr. Wenger is excellent. Much much more knowledgeable about preventive care than the cardiologists I've seen at Johns Hopkins Preventive Cardiology, and very good beside manner.

Knew Dr Wenger from caring for my husband. He is very professional but compassionate & caring. We talked about my concerns regarding having had chemotherapy & radiation therapy x 2 different cancers & the impact on my heart health & function. He explained everything related to my concerns; gave me options with clear explanations & listened to my input going forth.

Seemed very knowledgeable about his specialty.Somehow, I did not feel like he really understood my need for being there in the beginning, when he asked me what brought me in to see him, which made me feel a little uncomfortable/odd to start. I felt he had already a stereotype in his mind of what people want to hear and went through his routine dialogue of treatment, which I felt was NOT due to any bad intention, but just made me feel embarrassed to have made the appointment.

Dr. Wenger always strives to treat his patients with individualized care and respect. I'm concerned that Wellspan's overwhelming expectations of their physicians doesn't enable them to practice medicine at their highest level without burning out. I'm not sure what the answer is but overworking doctors isn't in their best interest, the patients' interest, and ultimately Wellspan's interest.
