Dr. Christopher John Womack, MD

Dr. Womack is one of the best doctors and mental health professionals that I have ever met. He really thinks about the patient as a true human being rather than a list of numbers and symptoms. He coordinates with other members of his patients’ teams seamlessly. He is a truly fantastic doctor and human being, and I enthusiastically recommend him without reservation.

My son has been seeing Dr. Womack from the age of 7. He was a great doctor for that age and now my son is almost 13 - and Dr. Womack is still fantastic! He's a really great listener to both the parents and the kids. He involves the kids at all ages, but age appropriate questions. He makes great suggestions on medications and explains why/what he's thinking.

We love Dr. Womack! He is so engaging and funny and personal. My son opens right up to him. Came from another doctor who barely spoke and just basically was there to fill prescriptions. Dr. Womack takes time to listen. We adore him!

Dr. Womak is a great doctor , it’s the receptionist who schedules your appointments who is extremely rude . I have dealt with her a couple of times and she is so nasty that we will be leaving this practice . It is not the dr., it is the receptionist!

As a Special Educator myself, I have worked with several different doctors who prescribe medication to children. Dr. Womack is exceptional and truly a stand out! He has been a god send for our son and family as a whole! His prompt response, stellar bedside manner and ability to really listen make him the best out there!

While I understand the other reviewers frustration when u have to wait a long time for your appointment, I find with this doctor , it is so worth it ! The wait has never been more than 15 minutes and his bedside manner is awesome. I've taken my son to another psychiatrist in Vernon Hills, and that guy treated him less than human . If you were a minute late , that doctor was on edge. Didn't care about how my kid was actually feeling , just getting as many patients in as possible and medicating them. While that their job, I prefer a well wounded Doctor who talks to them tried outside therapies and only medicated when necessary . You will love Dr. Womak !!!!!!!

Dr. Womack is a class act & has the BEST bedside manner to accompany his professional training. He has been right on with every recommendation and medication!
