For those of unaware, last night I had beyond excruciating back pain, to the point I was seeing stars, hyperventilating and couldn’t move, walk or stand. If you’re not aware a similar situation happened in 2010 - symptoms completely the same, ER treatment, resulting in an emergency discectomy. (Was out of work 3 months). Back to last night, it felt exactly the same and Nick brought me to Largo Medical Center and I had the absolute worst experience of my life. The only kudos I can give are to Michelle my nurse and my nameless to me MRI tech. The Physicians Assistant (which I desperately could remember his name) was the rudest health care “professional” I’ve ever met. He told me “he” (not qualified) read my MRI scan and that if he called neuro/spine they would laugh and hang up the phone. My “doctor” Christy Peck NEVER set foot in the room, thought according to everyone she knew exactly what was going on. I was discharged in agony and tears, with a referral to see a neuro/spine… today... who go figures is closed for virtual visits only. We called back Largo Medical Center begging to see a neuro/spine today and were told that there were none on site and if we came back we would be turned away. I have never, ever received such subpar healthcare in a time of desperation.
