Dr. Chul-Hee You

Terrible doctor to avoid at all costs. After they put me in recovery after a colonoscopy, Dr. You stopped in my room I asked him if one of the polyps he found was ulcerated (I saw it on the video screen). He started SCREAMING at me "if you know so much you can do the rest of the day's procedures". He slammed his clipboard against the door frame and stomped off. Everyone in the area stopped what they were doing and stared with open mouths. One nurse was quick to defend him saying he was from some backwater misogynist country where this kind of behavior was acceptable and that he didn't like women. Why does the Olympic Memorial Hospital tolerate his unacceptable, rude, mean antics? There are other doctors who would like to have his job and many other patients that won't ever see him again. Does it have to take multiple lawsuits to get rid of this guy? I'm thankful he didn't cause damage to me like he has to some other patients.

I was suffering prolonged and severe gastrointestinal distress due to changes in medication, and presented with severe pain and weight loss after not having eaten anything in 6 weeks. I explained my experiences to Dr. You. He ignored me, and told me that it was all about good bowel habits. Paid no attention to my primary care physician's observations, nor the observations from the hospital's ER physician, which supported those of my primary care MD. It was clear he had his mind made up the minute he walked in and saw a middle-aged, slightly overweight woman. I broke down in tears because of my sheer pain and exhaustion. He started screaming at me, and every time I tried to say something, he just screamed louder. I finally yelled, "PLEASE HELP ME!" and he slammed down his clipboard and stormed out of the room. That is the last I saw of Dr. You. This man is an outrage, an embarrassment to the medical profession, a complete abomination. As the previous commenter said, RUN while you can.

If you get referred to Dr You run while you still can. I had a horrific experience when he allowed the sedative to wear off during a procedure. My husband wasn't to thrilled after listening to me screaming in pain from the hallway and knowing there was nothing he could do. I was then discharged while in so much pain I was crying and unable to stand on my own. Ended up rushed to the ER by ambulance later that day. Pain is MUCH worse than when I went in and I still have no answers.I found out later than my neighbor had a very similar experience while having a colonoscopy with him and has continued to have problems sense that time.
