Dr. Cici Sijuan Liu, MD

I went to Bay Area Gynaecology and Oncology center as per my Gynaecologist referral. I choose to go to Dr. Cici Liu as I needed a hysterectomy after suffering from large uterine fibroids, severe cramps and heavy bleeding for months. Hysterectomy was the only option but I was very anxious about going for an invasive procedure. I'm so happy though that I got it done and I was treated by Dr. Liu. An extremely positive experience. In the very first visit, she listened to my long list of questions, answered all of them, provided me with various surgery options and their pros and cons. I then had a few more visits before the surgery and every time I went with more questions and she actively listened and helped every single time. I underwent abdominal total hysterectomy on 02/02 and it's been 3 weeks since. My recovery is on track! She spoke with me in detail about what to expect before and after surgery. The surgery went well, she spoke at length with my husband after the surgery (i was… in recovery). I was up and walking by the evening of the surgery and doing the rounds in the hospital corridor by morning the next day. I was discharged the next day and my recovery has been really quick. I have had two C section deliveries before this and I can vouch that the recovery after my hysterectomy has beem the fastest. Thank you Dr. Cici Liu!

Dr. Liu is a great surgeon and excellent doctor.

Argumentative and she does not respect patient autonomy. Go elsewhere, she does not care about a patients well being.

Staff is great, however, you would be better off going elsewhere. You will wait, on average, 1 hours plus at your appointments. In addition, this provider will not be totally honest with you. Seek your treatment from a reputable doctor.
