Dr. Cielo Carmen Manriquez, MD

I have been a client of Centro Med on Walzem for about 3yrs now. I originally was seeing Dr. Vasquez-Lopez in which i saw him maybe 4 times got some labs done he never called me with results just continued to fill my rx's. He left clinic leaving me with no meds for which i take for diabetes and other health issues. They replaced him with Ceilo Manriquez whom i saw the 1st time she came in went over my health issues introduced herself sat with me and just said she would see me in 3 mnths. went to ck in said girls at front desk are so incompetent ...long story short i have been without my meds for 3weeks ..i have called several times left messsages for Dr. and staff..my pharmacy has sent refill requests on several occasions. Dr, Manriquez came in room no hello and just started asking me what are we gonna do about my labs i said well your the dr. you tell me. she literally got up while i was speaking to her and walked out of my visit which my appt. was @ 1:45 sat in lobby for 2 hrs… before i was called to back sat another 40 mins in room. she REFUSED TO REFILL MY MEDS ...SO WILL BE MAKING A COMPLAINT WITH MEDICAL BOARD...ADVICE STEER CLEAR OF CENTO MED CLINICS. THEY JUST WANT YOUR SERVICE..THEY ARE FUNDED THRU THE GOVERNMENT...GUARANTEE I WILL REPORT HER TO MEDICAL BOARD.

Filled in for my usual Dr. Even though nothing had changed medically would not fill my pain meds unless I saw multiple providers for evaluations.Left phone message telling me take my BP for a month even though I don't have high BP and when I got to the follow-up appt she blindsided me by accusing me of abusing pain meds including one med that I have never taken ( I got copies of all of my Rx's dating back 3 years to prove she was wrong),, then documented that I had not had the drug screen she made me take (I did get it done a month prior to her saying I didn't).

Does not listen. Wasted too much time on unimportant stuff. Is paranoid. She knows all-the patient knows nothing. Over three hour wait to see her. Wants to reinvent the wheel. Downgrades other providers. I will give her one more chance, maybe she had a bad day.

Can a doctor spend TOO MUCH time with you? Dr. Manriquez tried! And she was always well prepared, I could tell by her questions she had reviewed my chart in the days before an appointment. I used to see Dr. Manriquez in Albuquerque; I think she's in El Paso now. Digs deep into what's bothering you and doesn't rely on easy prescription fixes. She never hesitated to scold me when she suspected I wasn't following her advice, either, which I see as a plus.
