Dr. Prettypaul provided me with excellent care when I went to see her for my annual visit. She took the time to explain every step of the process including some testing that needed to be done. She was helpful and attentive to all of my needs and questions. I would recommend Dr. Prettypaul to anyone looking for a PCP.

My recent visit to Dr. Cindy Prettypaul left me deeply dissatisfied, primarily due to her concerning bedside manner. Despite arriving with several health concerns and requests for specific tests, my experience was marked by questioning and belittlement. Dr. Prettypaul dismissed my desire for certain tests, notably making light of my family's history of cortisol level issues. Her remark, "I wouldn't even worry about your cortisol levels unless you're in the ER dying," was not only insensitive but also failed to address the legitimate concerns I had regarding my health. I was coming in for a 3 month follow-up, something she had said I could do to re-test my A1C and cholesterol levels, and I still had to fight with her to get these tests done even though she suggested them months prior. I found her reluctance to consider a hormone panel particularly troubling. When I sought to explore this avenue, she insisted there needed to be a distinct reason for such testing - dismissing factors… like anxiety, family history, and personal medical history as insufficient justification. This lack of empathy and understanding left me feeling unsupported and unheard. Furthermore, when discussing the possibility of running tests without a clear reason, she scoffed and warned me about potential insurance complications, emphasizing that it could cost me hundreds of dollars. This seemed to prioritize financial considerations over my well-being, adding an additional layer of frustration to an already unpleasant experience. In essence, Dr. Cindy Prettypaul's bedside manner fell short of the compassionate and understanding approach one would expect from a healthcare professional. Her dismissive attitude towards my concerns, coupled with apparent financial prioritization, left me questioning the quality of care provided during my visit.
