Dr. Cinthia L Elkins, MD, PhD

Dr Elkins diagnosed me with lupus on my 2nd visit with her. She listened patiently and carefully. Rheumatology agreed with this diagnosis. I had symptoms for years and my male doctor never properly diagnosed me. She did in 10 minutes what he didn't do in 10yrs and I'll be forever grateful to her.

Not a good doctor. I was a patient of Dr Elkins when she was at Crouse in Syracuse, NY. Once she yelled at me and I did not return. I see now she is in Cortland, NY. In her bio she does not mention her stay at Crouse. One wonders under what circumstances she left Crouse.

She is the best doctor I’ve ever had hands down. She doesn’t make me feel like I don’t matter, takes me seriously, goes over every detail, gives many suggestions, now my bf has switched over and my mother plans to make an appointment with her as well.

Was very happy with Dr. Elkins. Very thorough highly recommend

Moved office to Cortland, NY: quiet, peaceful office, short wait and all the time you need.

For one's first visit and annual physical all Dr. Elkins performs is listening to lungs & heart; does not order blood work (comprehensive panel or otherwise), unless one strongly requests it, and only after the visit. She is very slow to answer messages to her on "My Chart;" sometimes does not answer at all, nor does her staff. She does not send permissions for tests she has authorized, so when one arrives for a test, it hasn't been authorized and thus cannot take place. Staff do not act in a professional manner.
