Claire Kap, NP

Claire Kap is a nurse practitioner in the urology departments at Hayward Medical Center and Superior Clinic. She comes to Tamarack Health from the Twin Ports area with over a decade of experience as a nurse practitioner.
She says that her hope for each patient is that they leave feeling as though they were listened to, treated respectfully, and had a say in the treatment or plan for their care.
One piece of advice she shares with patients is to be an active participant in their healthcare. “Patient care is a ‘team sport’,” she says, “in which the input from the patient and the provider are equally necessary to have a successful outcome.”
Claire is married with two children and a dog. In her free time, she enjoys being active outdoors with family and friends. “Every season on the shores of Lake Superior offers equally beautiful and ample opportunities to enjoy being outside,” she says.
